About MANAL ABDULLAH

I'm a graduate in Architecture, a Teacher by profession, and my interest has always deviated towards all creative fields. My interests leans towards the emotive responses of human beings to design. In terms of design; temporary structures, installations and landscape design in particular spark my interest. Since graduation, the kind of projects/research I have been working on explore mediums through sustainable approaches towards design and arts. Most importantly, I have a need to contribute to a community that I am a part of, which has always reflected in the kind of work that I do and prefer volunteering for. From the simplest things like playing with Legos, through the boldness of digital paints and the transparency of water colours, to the impromptu performances and talks on and off-stage; I find multidisciplinary approaches to creativity more fulfilling than a unilateral approach. Basically an introvert, I produce my best work when I have complete focus on it in my own space. However, years of many different kinds of experiences has also made me social, a good team player and someone who has the tendency to take the lead. I am eager to learn and experience new things everyday.
