Completed in 2015, The HarSukh art residency is the residence of former Chief Justice Jawad S. Khawaja and his wife, renowned classical dance trainer Bina Jawad. The HarSukh mansion is a modern experiment on Islamic/ Mughal architecture, and it was designed and built by none other than Master Architect Kamil Khan Mumtaz It houses an art residency, an amphitheater, and music facilities. It is the most successful contemporary example of the use of traditional fat and ribbed dome brick construction. Hurr Sukh is a “haveli”; imposing but not ostentatious. The building rises up from the fields surrounding it. as if it were a timeless feature of the Punjabi landscape.
