Most of us have spent a considerable amount of our childhood at Lasania restaurants. While this
restaurant has managed to stay consistent with their food quality, they were lacking the interior to
attract a modern-day family. The client wanted to change the design ideology of their restaurants
while maintaining the brand’s identity, due to which a modern design approach was considered for
the project.
This particular branch is located in Saddar, Rawalpindi. With the area of 9000 sft spanning over 3
floors, it has the capacity to hold over 300 customers. Lasania has a long tradition of hosting large
families and corporate clients, therefore the spatial organization was to be made in such a way
where a particular seating area could potentially be separated for such events.
The height of the restaurant is emphasized through the installation of wooden ceiling feature while
permeable partitions in the form of spice racks are installed throughout the space to break it up and
to corner areas for large gatherings.
Interior finishes are based on natural and warm materials. The wooden cladding is featured
predominantly in the ceiling and furniture. This visual scheme is combined with neutrality of smooth
concrete tile floor and walls that offsets the warmth of wood.
