AT house was designed and built inside the premises of an already existing property. The
contemporary language of the house created a contrast with the existing family residence
highlighting the change in lifestyle over the years.
The design aimed to achieve a spacious interior while keeping the footprint to a minimum and
leaving a central green lawn between the houses.
In the interior, a central double height lobby was introduced which became the main focal
space. The lobby creates a visual and physical link between the spaces by connecting them both
vertically and horizontally. Stairs are wrapped around the powder room disguised as a planter.
The lobby also features a double height window framing the lawn and a bridge which is the sole
circulation of the first floor.
Chakwal stone is used on façade planes and interior walls enhancing the composed masses.
