The Somalian Client who is also working with the United Nations contacted me to complete the project following their culture. Somalia is a 3rd world country which has a harsh climate, chaos and poor country. This will be the 1st project to be done for the tourists and local clients. It has the same facilities like a 5 star hotel. The top roof is designed for outdoor swimming pool with a boundary wall at a height of 2.4m following their culture. These are two buildings consisting of A and B block. Block A is a 5 star hotel and whereas Block B is a luxury apartment. It has a total area of 12000 meters.
The main concept was space planning .Elevation has a rough concept because of lack of security and too many bombing nearby. That’s the reason minimum glass is used on the outer façade.
As an Architect from Pakistan, this is my first ever project on big scale which is under construction out of my country. Purpose of gaining these experience will help me in future foreign design projects.
Recently from that project Ar.Junaid Received international award in Commercial category organized by GABA 2021.
