SW-014 residence encapsulates marked features for its spatial distribution and its orientation. This single-family residence circulates around the necessary formal and informal spaces. The double height entrance foyer confines contrasting materials, colours and textures. The featured brick wall through which a creeper pierces its way, the opposite jade tinted wall, the light play, plantation with a connecting bridge and a staircase make the entrance open, refreshing and vibrant. Catering to the elevated profile of the plot, a bridge connects the study room on the first floor to the rest of the house and is oriented in a way to harvest maximum views of the Margalla hills. The placement also helps in blocking the sun and uses insulation for its southwards placement. The house uses earthy and subtle tones of varying textures and also contains a home theatre on the basement level, a water body with the living area and a barbecue spot on the top level.
