SR Designworks is an architecture, interior, planning & landscape design consultancy firm known for the quality and uniqueness of its design work, and for its attentiveness to client needs. Specializing in well designed & finely crafted institutional, commercial and residential projects, SRDW commissions span over a variety of building types including schools, hospitals, banks, retail outlets, office buildings and residences as well as corporate & residential interiors. The firm provides a full scope of services: feasibility and zoning studies, architectural design, interior design and furnishings, site planning and landscape design. We also participate in large scale planning and urban design projects. Clients with various interests and different needs keep the design process exciting for us, and inspire us to create an ever-growing range of architectural expression. Our projects do not follow any specific stylistic trends but instead tend to respond to the client’s needs and aspirations developing their own individual vocabulary. Project Overview

Conceptualized in 2015 , Shehr-e-Khamoshan model cemeteries will make peoples loved one journey comfortable by providing burial essential including coffin, kafa, muswaik,kafoor,Arq-e-Ghulab,soap under one roof at 89 kanal area .

The Punjab Shehr-e-Khamoshan Authority Graveyards offers a few integral facilities at all its graveyards. These services include an ambulance service for the transport of the body, a mortuary, female and male Ghusal areas, a Janazgah, burial kits etc. All these services are provided free of cost to anyone who is unable to afford them.

Existing graveyards have extremely poor conditions with little maintenance and presence of meager grave space. Grieving citizens are further distressed by the burial and funeral process given exploitation and corruption adopted by the workforce managing existing graveyards across Punjab.

The Shehr-e-Khamoshan Model Cemeteries and Crematoriums initiative is to spread across Punjab with the onset of the Lahore Graveyard at Kacha Road, Kahna. The Shehr-e-Khamoshan initiative is the Punjab Government’s promise to reform cemeteries for times to come for complete citizen facilitation,” Director General Strategic Reforms Unit (Chief Minister’s Office) Salman Sufi told The Nation. 

Sufi said it is not just for the Muslims as well as for Non-Muslim communities as Shehr-e-Khamoshan Authority will ensure the delivery of services including prayer services, ghusl, mortuary, hearse services as well as services of cremation and burial services for Non-Muslim communities in separate cemeteries.

SRU initiated the Rs155 million Lahore Shehr-e-Khamoshan Model Cemeteries and Crematoriums project is to revamp the concept of a cemetery by providing services that ensure the sanctity of death and the dignity of the deceased. The services provided at through this initiative include ambulance, bathing, hearse, mortuary, burial and funeral services.

The first Shehr-e-Khamoshan Model Graveyard at Mouza Rakh, Cheddu Kahna in Lahore is operational with a land-area measuring 89 kanals, the Lahore Graveyard will have grave space for around 8000 graves Other facilities that would be providing coach services to transport the bereaved families, 30-body mortuary to preserve the bodies of the deceased, separate female and male Ghusal or bathing facilities inside the graveyard shall be provided a Janazgah or funeral prayer section to accommodate congregation.
