About Arif Masoud Associates

Architect Arif Masoud is a graduate of Architecture (1969 to 1975 batch) from DCET, Karachi. In 1975 he went to Saudi Arabia and joined the A/E firm of Zuhair Fayez & Associates in Jeddah. He remained with this company for 25 years, out of which 22 years he was the Head of Architectural Design and remained as the Director of Design until 2003.

His passion to serve Pakistan was realized in 2002 when his design was chosen from among 22 other Designs by a 9 member jury selected by PCATP and hence was declared the winner of the Design Competition for the PAKISTAN MONUMENT in Islamabad. After c ompletion and inauguration of the said project by the then President of Pakistan... Instead of going back to a five star life, back to Saudi Arabia, he chose to stay back in Pakistan and realize another passion of his, to teach. He joined CIIT Islamabad as their Principal Architect and taught Architectural Design at the Dep. Of Architecture, CIIT for 12 years. During this period, He established COMSIAN Consulting and undertook many projects related to the University and its various Campuses.

He is a life-time member of PCATP and also a member of IAP. Architect Arif Masoud excels in preserving heritage values and modern principles and techniques of project design and management. He has worked on numerous mega projects including residences, Palaces, Multi-functional buildings, high rises, Corporate headquarters, Banks, Complexes, and the list goes on.

The Architect has won a lot of prestigious competitions in Saudi Arabia as well as Pakistan. Apart from winning the PAKISTAN Monument Competition (2002, held by PCATP), he won the Design competitions of Aiwan-e-Quaid Cultural Centre, Islamabad (2005, held by IAP-RIC) & the SHOHADA Monument within the GHQ (2008). He is a Recipient of a Gold Medal from Nazria e Pakistan Council and a Pak –UK excellence Award. IAP has also awarded him with Architects of Honor- Institute of Architects Pakistan

He continues to inspire young Architects with his wisdom and warm attitude. He believes in finding solutions and prefers positivity in life and it can be observed not only in his personality but also in his work.
