Overview

This is a recent 30x30 Central courtyard house designed by the firm. The Project Architects are Fawad Suhail Abbasi & Naveed Salam.

After being able to design and supervise large and medium size residences in the last 15 years, this was a great challenge and enjoyed by the two of us. It gave us an opportunity to look at various options and study the layouts sectionally making sure that we can bring enough light and ventilation through the central core and making it a playful space for the clients.

The various levels are approached by a wood and metal staircase that stands as a tall sculpture facing the brick wall that has been treated with plants and a water body on the basement level.

The owners and their children are able to access private and semi-private spaces through this staircase while the skylight brings in natural light and ventilation from the top.

The foral living rooms are in the basement with two box rooms/storage spaces, while the ground floor comprises of the informal living rooms, dining, main and dirty kitchen.
